Miso Sauce


  • ¼ cup miso
  • 2 Tbsp mirin
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • water, as needed


  1. Whisk miso, mirin, ginger and garlic.  Add water one tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired thickness.
This simple sauce works well with fresh vegetables, such as sliced daikon or cooked vegetables, such as roasted carrots and parsnips.  Easily turn in into a salad dressing by adding a bit of rice vinegar to taste.
